Will Lansing, Principal
Will Lansing embarked on his real estate journey immediately after college. In 2003, he co-founded a company focused on the development of single family homes, which he grew into a significant business. Five years later, after selling his partnership interest, Will ventured into larger-scale projects, including condo conversions and ground-up construction of for-sale and rental housing. This period laid the groundwork for the eventual formation of Valor Development.

Since's Valor's inception in 2009, Will has grown the platform to include additional real estate asset classes including commercial, industrial, and hospitality, while continuing its focus on it's residential footprint. This expansion provided for the growth of the business into The Valor Companies, a family of verticals focused on thoughtful real estate development, investment, construction, and management. Will holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Zoning and Entitlement
These days it is rare to find a project that can be completed as a matter of right. Tremendous value is created in the entitlement process. We guide projects through the complex web of local neighborhood groups, conservancies, Historic Preservation and Review Boards, and Zoning Boards to ensure projects achieve approvals for rezoning, change of use, and other complicated cases.

Underwriting and Analysis
Upon first look at an opportunity, and all through it's lifecycle, real estate sponsorship needs to understand "the numbers". We continually evaluate a project's forecasted and realized performance relative to costs, revenue, and financial market conditions and provide guidance on the timing and the ways to capitalize, hold, or sell a project most efficiently.
